Donald Ferguson III 6’2″ Point Guard – Taking his game to new heights!
When you think of Donald Ferguson III, you think of a younger, longer more athletic version of Trae Young. A player who is always poised and calm and in control on the floor and has a great feel for the game of basketball. A deadly knock down consistent outside shooter that has NBA range. He is an extremely good ball handler that allows him to create opportunities for teammates under control. Coming off a 19 point outing against Totino Grace last week, one of the top 3A teams in the state of Minnesota, who has 5 High Major Division one athletes, Ferguson lead all scores and at times looked like one the best players on the floor. Not surprising his game is the way that it is as we come to learn that he is the son of a High School Coach and former College basketball player. You can tell that he learned the game the right way at an early age. Ferguson posseses all of the five attributes all great point guards must have to run a team at the next level to be successful. Ferguson will continue to trend heading into the spring and summer season as we expect his stock and profile to continue to rise.
He has made great improvements in the area of his defense. His long athletic frame allows him to get his hands on a lot of deflections and steals. He currently is leading his Osseo High School team in steals with 3+ per game. He is coming off a strong fall where he received his first offer from Hampton University and interest from University of California – San Diego, Morehead State (Ky), Evansville, University of Southern Mississippi, Eastern Kentucky University, University of Tulsa, University of Texas at San Antonio, University of Akron, Kent State University and Purdue University Fort Wayne
